All women of Central Christian are invited to participate in this faith growing, mission outreach ministry of the church. Originally Missionary Aid Societies within Disciples Congregations, these groups continue to be concerned for human needs throughout the world and our missionary outreach to other nations. One group meets nearly every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in our Fellowship Hall for fellowship and craft making for the annual Craft Bazaar. Most weeks they stay for lunch together and Bible study. Otherwise, Christian Women’s Fellowship consists of two groups that meet monthly, one during the daytime, one of an evening; with joint meetings two to three times a year. Please contact the church office for more information.

Women (and men) are invited to knit or crochet prayer shawls (or prayer blankets) to be given to people in need of prayer or other things. While knitting or crocheting, participants are invited to intentionally pray for the person who will receive this gift.
Once a month participants gather to knit, fellowship, share faith discoveries and to join in prayer over completed works. The Prayer Shawls / Blankets are a tangible reminder of God’s love surrounding the recipient.
